Legal

This page is incomplete, on purpose.

Terms of service, the privacy policy and the customs power of attorney all need review by counsel, and they need the legal entity name plus the broker's license and national permit numbers — open questions 6 and 8 in our build notes. Those are not details to guess at, so they are blank until confirmed.

What we are

Truistics is a customs brokerage. Customs business — including the approval and submission of any declaration, protest or filing with U.S. Customs and Border Protection — is performed by or under the supervision of a licensed customs broker, as required by 19 CFR Part 111. Our software prepares and organises work. It does not make legal determinations and it cannot approve a filing.

Estimates are estimates

Any refund figure shown on this site or in our software is an estimate presented as a range, with its assumptions stated. It is not a guarantee, a quote, or a statement that you are owed a particular amount. Only CBP determines what is refundable and what is paid.

Your records

Customs records are stored in the United States and retained for five years from the entry date. Powers of attorney are retained until revoked and for five years after. Sensitive identifiers, including importer of record numbers that may be Social Security or Employer Identification Numbers, are encrypted before storage and masked in the interface. We do not transmit them to our CRM, our analytics, or any AI service.

Your records are accessible to you, to the members of our staff assigned to your case, and to nobody else. Referral partners can see the status of leads they referred and never see entry or financial data.

Not legal advice

Nothing on this site is legal advice. Where a refund can only be pursued through litigation, we refer the matter to an independent law firm with your consent, and we do not share in any fee that firm charges.
